Hey guys,

Just bought a 2006 is350 the dark gray one, I think it is smokey granite?

I came from a 2005 mitsubishi evo, just needed a more grown up car.

Loving it so far, thinking about modding just a few things.

From the research I have done, it appears there is no way to tune or chip is350s, so probably only addons i will do are exhaust and intake.

Any advice will be taken and Ill start reading the forums daily.

Also, is it hard to install an intake? saw the F series on lexus.com, also see there is a K&N intake for around half the price.

Intake is a piece of cake, 30 min job max! Go with either F-Sport or JoeZ for maximum results. axle-back exhaust will give you a little more HP for a reasonable price (F-Sport, Tanabe, HKS, Megan, etc...) Adding the F-Sport Sway bars (rear at the very least.) If you want some better handling and a more aggressive look add some coilovers or drop springs. Everything else is just appearance - wheels, tint, HID's/LED's, body kits, etc...

Grats on the upgrade!

Welcome and installing an intake is like changing a light bulb that easy. As for performance exhaust, intake and header will be good enough.

Hah, will post some pics later

Just read all 10 pages of the M2 exhaust thread. They are about 300 on ebay now, thinking about snagging one of those

Any links to the joeZ intake?
I am scared to work on my own vehicle (lol), but if it is not that hard i may just give it a whirl

Seems that there is no noise change getting the JoeZ?
I liked the suction noise on my evo, it had a K&N

Perhaps ill just get a K&N, same easy installation?

Yup, simple for all of em. K&N will basically only make it louder, minimal performance improvement (not that JoeZ or F-Sport are that much more - couple HP.) You could always do this: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...i-drilled.html if you want it louder.
