Clear Bra?
I called some places and asked what kind of film they use to put on the cars and one of the places told me it was called prestige, the other was Ventureshield. Can anybody tell me the difference between the two?
And how much did you pay for your clear bra and what does it cover?

go with 3m only.........i had mine put on by a lexus dealership when i brought my is350 used a month ago. they have a outside company to do it for them and it comes with 7yrs warranty by the lexus dealership not the company that they had it done for me. just make sure no paint chips or any damage. been a month since and no problem, hardly noticeable. it costed my $1,050 for the whole front bumper, front half of the hood, gfx front lip, fog lights, both mirrors, all door edge and upper part of the rear bumper. i will post picture as soon as i get my car back from the shop that is wrapping my roof with carbon fiber vinyl.....

^ Agreed, I paid a few hundred less (just under $800 for 3M) at the Stealership and have seen many posts with folks getting identical installs in the five hundred range. Made me wish I had researched it more ad saved a few hundred bucks....

3M Stuff is good, but can be expensive. If I had the cash, I would do the 3M clear bra.
I went with the eBay route and self installed mine. It cost me like around 200 bucks for hood, fender, bumper, and mirrors. But make sure you know what you are doing before installing it by yourself. I have NuSolis from eBay and it's holding up pretty well. No signs of discoloration after a year.

Really? I thought it was the other way around. Since Cali has a lot of competition, buyers would have an easy time getting it done for cheap. But in Florida we don't have a lot shops (well, at least where I live doesn't) so we have to pay whatever the price it is
But he got it done at the Stealership, so it makes sense why he paid that much.
$250 is really cheap, 3M also?

My dealership wanted $1300. I said "no" and they lowered it to $1100. I still refused it though.
I went somewhere else and got mine done for $600 plus tax. It was 3M. It included the front bumper, lips, foglights, headlights, 1/3 of the hood. Plus the side mirrors, door edges, and door handle cups.

Went with Ventureshield and got it through the dealership (Lexus of Austin). $750 for bumper, fog lights, 1/3 of hood and fenders (bikini cut), fender, mirrors, A pillars and leading edge of roof (up to the sunroof). Had it for just over a year now and very happy with the quality and durability.

I've got to say you get what you paid. A good installer is hard to get. Still, at $200, is it way under what the average a good installer would charge. An experienced installer won't do the job at $200..
