But seriously...TONS of people have the hack on their navs/dvd players. not just the IS community, Go ask an install shop how many people ask for a bypass hack on all those Alpine/Pioneer video/nav systems that are sold. There are TONS of cars with the hack, its mostly so passengers can view video while moving. I'm pretty sure people aren't hacking so they can watch while driving...

Ever heard of Garmin? Or TomTom? Should they be banned? Seriously man, calm down and put your head on straight. Yes, I have passengers program it for me. And yes, my niece and nephew watch videos in my car while I'm driving. I could care less about "Dora the Explorer" but it keeps them quiet so it's totally worth it to me. Sorry if you can't see the functionality in this not to mention the fact that this is not factory disabled in many, many vehicles.

trying to play fair for both sides here...

i think the nav disabling should be wired through the passenger air bag. if someone is sitting in the passenger seat to where the air bag is enabled, it should also enable the use of the nav with car in motion.

would that make you happy OP?
