Well I took the leap to the 2013 headlights. Wiring seems pretty straight forward, but my question is has anyone hooked their LED's to an ignition source in the engine compartment? If so where, and do you have any pics?
I would like to wire the LED's to turn on with the ignition of the car.
Also, are dealers the only ones that can turn DRL's off? I thought I read somewhere that there is aftermarket software that is easy to use but I don't remember the name.

The one with L is from the headlight fuse gets power only when the headlights are on and trips a relay I put in to give the LEDs 50% power with the headlights on.

Is there any difference in 2010 and 2012 LED headlights. I found some 2010 ones for 800 dollars. Just the headlights themselves. Pretty sure i will need more stuff. Can anyhone tell me what I will need

Drivers side fusebox, red 10A IG2 fuse powers the LEDs 100% anytime the ignition is on to run as DRL's and the one you see that I put an I on.

Using the parking light pin allows for the lights to be completely turned OFF at the Stalk..
Finally after 4 years I had the time to make a custom harness & relay..
This now allows my LED lights to switch back and fourth from 100% to 50%
I routed the Green & Black wire from the Passenger side to the Drivers side..
Then I merged both sides with a Y connection and wired in the 5 pin relay..
Like so:
Now my Stalk operates the LED strips as follows:
OFF - OFF
Parking Light ON one Click - 100% Led
Low Beam / HID ON two Clicks - 50% Led
Auto - 50% Led as is follows the Low Beam function
Sorry No Pics, but the wiring looks as oem as possible with added shrink tubing and use of wire loom covering.

Thanks for all the information you provided. this is actually very helpful. however i got a few questions. i know the obvious. route both green and black wire from each side and Y them to the relay 87 an 87A. Then 85 would be a ground.
but when tapping the LOW BEAM wire into 86. which wire is that? on the harness? and are we tapping into both head lights?
also the parking light into 30 + power. can you tell me which wire is the parking light wire and do i need to tap into both head lights and spice that in with power?
i apologize for these questions. i just want to make sure i understand the entire diagram before i start the project.
also is this all i have to do or do i still need to do what the OP did on page 7

I'm a bit confused with the very first post. he said something about oem halogen lights, then had bought these headlamps with oem hids. was there a halogen to d4s adapter being used? did I miss that?
do these led headlamps actually come without AFS and HID?? or do you have to get these with hids regardless.

There is a circular cap with wires coming out of it that to plug into the LED board and the other end to the rest of the harness. I can't remember the part # off hand, but if you have a 2011 headlight diagram I believe it shows the part there. Just be aware that in that diagram, the cap doesn't look nearly as big as it actually is.
gotta order somewhere else besides sewell

do you have an example of how it trips the relay? which relay you used? also did you have to run wires from driver and passenger side to this fuse box? or is all this controlled from the driver side?

No it will not because Toyota stock flasher are not for LED. You need to purchase a CF-18 which is for LED which solves the problem.
VLED's currently sell them but they are out of stock. Note, they put the Toyota part number on them to indicate it is for them however it is not made from Toyota.

Anybody know where I can find this as I want my arm and disarm to work?

The 2010 does not have the LED on them. If you are looking to replace your current headlights with those that have the LED then you need to search for the 2011 and 2012 ones. The difference between 2011 and 2012, 2012 have the whiter LED and the finish of the housing is different as well. Good indicator that you are looking at the 2012 ones are "eyebrows" on the top corners of the lights.

Bosch relay, you have to run wires from both sides to the relay but depending there is only 1 relay connected to the fuse box.
