I think it's the shop did a **** job, will get it professionally fixed/cleaned, and will let you know.

I have this hazy problem, it's not 100% clear.

I relocated the solid green wire to the default third empty slot next to the white and black wire striped wire. Then i installed it and tried to turn the parking lights on but the LED's are not turning on, even on low beam too. Everything else did work perfectly (lows, highs, turn signal), besides the LED's

I double checked my connections and everything was fine. I've no idea what I've done wrong that the LED's are not turning on.
So, none of your light are turning on? Did you try splicing/tapping wires? Like thinktwice originally did

All lights turned on except the LED's. I re-read the whole thread again after posting the issue, and found that 2 other members connected the red with the black & white wire together. I thought OP revised his method and said that we do not have to do that, just simply relocated the solid green wire? I also saw another member who successfully got his LED's to work by just relocating the solid green wire.

I am really confused now i have no experience with electrical stuff whatsoever, and i dont want to f' up my car

Update!

A member here suggested me to splice the red wire and tap it with the black&white wire. I did that and the LED's finally worked

in conclusion, after relocating the solid green wire, you must tap the red with black&white wire in order for LED's to work!

nice im down for a mini meet! sent you a pm.

the headlights looks good but a lot of work cus i did not buy it from sewell had to buy all the parts like covers / ballast / bulbs / LED connectors / and relay flasher which costs me another $200. wanted sonic ms to install but they quoted me $300 just for labor and i couldnt afford that and almost felt like giving up on the lights but finally i decided to install it cus the LED's are too sexy for me to let go :P

I already concluded this issue in post #203 of this thread

Some things to know... If you buy a pre-made kit, you don't have to deal with any of this stuff...

The only thing you have to do is swap the Flasher Relay cube, which sits in the space above the Brake & Gas pedal under the dash.

If you have an IS with AFS, you will indeed get a flashing AFS indicator light.. If you have an IS with just the Halogen headlights, you will not have a flashing AFS indicator.

So far the only known way to stop the blinking AFS light, is to crack open the cluster and block the light that passes through that area with something Black.

Also, the bumper brackets that screw into the bottom of the headlights, will need slight modifications to be attached to the new MY2011 lights.. Basically dremeling some of it off that sits over the LED wire dome cap on the underside of the housings.
But still, only 2 screws will line up after that.

I tried the new step mentioned, of only swapping the GREEN wire location, that DID NOT work on my 2008 IS-F.

So I went with what "thinktwice" originally did..
I snipped the thinner solid red wire, then tapped it into the Black & White wire underneath it..
Then I changed the pin location of the Green Wire to the empty spot... Done.!!

I also tested the Solid Black wire and Solid Green wire to confirm the differences between the 50% & 100% brightness of the LED strip.
I went with 100% power.

Also, the new Flasher relay needed is indeed Lexus / Toyota Part # 81980-06020
That takes all of about 5 minutes to find unplug & replug the new unit.

I only got pics of the Flasher swap so far.. (I was in a rush)

I will try to update this post in the near future with how the wiring looks before and after the slight modification done to the primary male plug connector on the new headlight.

Thanks for all input in this thread..!!

Regards,

~ Joe Z
