So, i was trying to order the F-Sport Front grill insert for my 2008 IS, however, on the sewell site, i could not find this item for 2008 IS, but 2009 IS has..could i order 2009 one for my 2008 IS???

it's been confirmed numerous times...do a search on here and you'll see.

the only F-Sport/IS-F style grille that fits the 06-08 is the ebay replica one. Couple people have bought it and said it's good quality and fitment. Do a search on here for the ebay seller link they got it from, since i think there are couple sellers selling them on ebay and i don't know if they're all the same quality/fitment.

Jeff above is right, the F-Sport grille from Lexus is only offered on '09 and above, and the '09 and above grille is NOT compatible with the '06-'08.

I'm in the same boat, I want the F-Sport grille for my 2007 IS350. The only solution I've found is there are 2 eBay sellers selling replica grilles that do fit the '06-'08, and several users on here have bought and installed them and have said they look and feel great:

So, I received my ebay ISF replica grille for my 08 IS 350. I did the install today...all in all it was pretty straight forward and easy to do. It took me about 30 minutes to swap it out. Overall, I'm very very happy with the results. I think for a non OEM piece it is great quality. I would spend the 100 bucks again in a heartbeat.....in my opinion get the 100 dollar one over the 200 dollar one and save the money for something else. I would bet they are the same anyways. Chriso looks nice, i also installed an f-sport grille today. The only problem i had was getting the clips out under the weather strip. Looks great tho.

I did mine without even removing the weather strip. Just took a little juggling around to get the old one out and the new one back in.
