Black Detail
#16
Black anything for the most part will look its best when cleaned and detailed well. It is a pain, however, as it does require more maintaining than other colors. I can spend hours on hours cleaning and waxing, but having a buffer makes it so much easier and it provides more pressure than my hands and arms. Ride looks good!

I first used my buffer on my '07 GT500, black. There is a small learning curve but that will only last for maybe one panel before you get the hang of it. Best advice is to get good polish. I've used Menzerna, Meguiars, and Poorboy's polishes, I recommend Menzerna.
I'm glad to see so many people on this forum care about detailing their cars. Definitely makes these cars pop even more.

Quickmatch, thanks for the website. They have a few different items than autogeek. Have you used the Blackfire products?
Phanatik, the cost of a full detail depends on how bad the paint is. It should be somewhere around $250. I got charged $80 for just a wash and wax.

Wow your car looks great. I wish mine can get like that. How long does a detail job usually last? I may just have to bite the bullet and get it done.
I've been quite obsessed with trying to keep my car clean. Parking outside doesn't help matters. It looked really good after I got it waxed a couple weeks ago but after the first wash, all the swirls and scratches appeared.

If maintained properly it should last for a year (depending on how **** you are) before it needs to be redone. I wouldn't go any longer than six months on the sealant though, depends on weather conditions though and if it's not garage kept.
