(MVP = Market Value Pricing, cheaper alternatives available from Toyota/Lexus).

Jeff
What is the difference between the premium -50060 vs market value -yzz10?

Is there a big difference in longevity and quality of filtering? It's twice the cost. Thanks.

One is from Japan (50060 / 50100) and one is from USA (YZZ10). I've not done any testing on either of them, but the 50100 looks to be of slightly higher quality to the naked eye. That probably doesn't give you a really good answer, but it's all I've got, haha.

I run the 50100 in my car for good measure. JDM yo.

lol

Side note:
The Carbon Impregnated Cabin Air Filter deordorizes for only so long. You will not notice this after a while but I found it to be extreamly helpful over the generic pollen filter throughout its life though.

FYI - Maintenance Manual says it should be changed every 30k but I change mine every 15k.

Premium vs market value filter!

The premium (OEM) filter is much heavier, thicker, and has more closely spaced fins.

Good picture, I had meant to take pictures and count the folds a few times but I always remembered after installing it, haha.

The factory filters (even non-charcoal) are almost always higher quality as far as number of folds and weight/visual quality.

The 87139-07010 vs. 87139-YZZ08 is pretty much the same comparison as the 87139-50100 vs. 87139-YZZ10, they are just non-charcoal filters instead of the charcoal ones.

Charcoal is the deodorizer/pollen type. There is no deodorizer non-pollen type.
