I've got a 2006 IS 350. A few years ago I installed a JL Audio 500/1 amplifier and a JL Audio 10w7 Pro Wedge. I used a JL Audio speaker wire to rca adapter to connect the car subwoofer audio signal to the amplifier. When I turn my volume up past about 45 I lose all bass. It seems to me the factory radio has a bass restriction causing the signal to fade out completly. Have any of you expirenced a similar problem? What have you done in attempt to correct the issue?

What settings do you have your 500/1 set at?

All suggestions appreciated.

What does your wiring look like? Where did you draw the RCA wire from? Most of the 2IS owners used a LOC (IE: Scosche SLC4 = what I used) to connect their subs. Is your original sub still hooked up?

Here is the amp mounted on the side (next to my ugly W7) where it can be easily accessed for changing setting, i also liked this setup because i figured all the air that was moving in/out of the port would help cool the amp...

Here is the remote cutoff switch and JL bass boost ****.... I would consider both of them a must have..

From the back? The **** control I have is pretty big, there's no way for me to get it back there. Wanted to know what it looks like underneath the panel
