Default The pita jl sound system UPDATE #1

ANY ADVICE IS HELPFUL DONT HESITATE

INSTALLED

JL AUDIO 6.5 COMPONENT FRONT/REAR DOORS
JL AUDIO 3.5 FRONT/REAR DOORS
AUDIOPHILE 3 WAY PASSIVE CROSSOVER
AUDIO CONTROL LCI6
JL AUDIO 700/5
JL AUDIO 13W3V3

FIRST OFF ID LIKE TO THANK. JOEKER
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...g-diagram.html
AND
THE ATTACHMENT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE THREAD VERY USEFULL

TWO DAYS OF INSTALL AND ITS A PAIN.

ALL WIRES ARE COMING FROM OUR OEM AMP LOCATED UNDER REAR RIGHT PLASTIC TRIM

FIRST SETUP DID NOT WORK
FRONT L= +WHITE - RED
FRONT R= +BROWN - PINK
REAR L= +PINK - VIOLET
REAR R= +RED - WHITE

SUBS ARE +BROWN & PINK
- LIGHT GREEN & BLUE

SUB CHANNELS WORK PERFECT

*THIS DIDNT WORK BC IT PROVIDED TO MUCH BASS GIVEN OUR OEM AMP IS ALREADY XOVER
* ALSO THE NAV/BLUE TOOTH ONLY PLAYS FROM FRONT MIDS

SECOND TRY

FRONT L = +BLUE - ORANGE
FRONT R = +BLACK - GREY

REAR STAYED THE SAME

*THIS CAUSED TOO MUCH MIDRANGE AND ZERO BASS TO THE FRONT REAR DOOR WOOFERS TOO MUCH HIGHS

I WENT BACK AND REWIRED THE FRONT SUBS TO THE REAR CHANNEL THEN USED AN RCA Y CONNECTOR THIS CAUSED DISTORTION TO THE DOORS MIDS/TWEETS

I THEN TIED THE FRONT WOOFERS AND MIDS TOGETHER (CREATS A LOWER OHM LOAD NOT RECOMMENDED) CAUSED DISTORTION AGAIN TO THE FRONT MIDS/TWEETS

WITHOUT THE FRONT MIDS TIED IN THERE IS NO NAV/BLUETOOTH VOICE

NEXT I AM GOING TO TAP INTO THE THE WIRES COMING FROM THE HEAD UNIT BEFORE THE OEM AMP.

MY GUESS IS THIS WILL NOT WORK BEC OF THE AUTO MUTE WHEN NAV/BLUETOOTH IS ACTIVATED. ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT.

IF THIS DOES NOT WORK I WILL BE ORDERING THE JL CLEANSWEEP AND THE CL-SSI
..

I HAVE IT MOUNTED FOR NOW IN SPARE TIRE WELL I PLAN TO MOVE ALL THIS SOON JUST WANTED TO GET MY WIRING STRAIGHT FIRST.

JL AMP WILL FIT UNDER A SEAT AND THE LCI CAN HIDE BEHIND THE CARPET COVERING ABOVE THE FACTORY AMP.

I ALSO PLAN ON FIBERGLASSING THE JL13 IN THE REAR CORNER OF THE TRUNK. BUT FOR NOW THE BOX WILL DO

3.5 FIT FINE IN THE FRONT DOORS JUST HAD TO FAB A BRACKET. I REMOVED THE PLASTIC RINGS ON THE INSIDE OF THE DOOR PANEL WHERE THE MID WOULD SIT AGAINST THE PANEL AND MOUNTED THE SPEAKER TO THE PANEL NOT THE DOOR.

3.5 IN THE REAR WHERE DONE THE SAME MOUNTED TO THE REAR DOOR PANEL HOWEVER THE IS LESS THAN A HALF INCH GAP WHICH IS ONLY NOTICED WHEN THE DOOR IS OPEN AND POINTED OUT.

CAMERA DIED BUT DID GET A SHOT OF TRUNK

according to the pdf file the rear doors are fed full range from the factory amplifier tom i will y the rcas that i ran to the lc6 rear channel and see if i can get little more bass going to the front woofers. if i cant i may end up having to purchase a summing device.

^ DID NOT WORK B/C THERE IS NO AUDIO FROM NAV/BLUE TOOTH GOING TO THE REAR

I'll be dropping the car off at the shop on April 4th. Decided to go with (1) JL Audio 12W7 (Anniversary Edition), JL Audio 750/1 HD, JL Audio 600/4 HD, JL Audio 1/0 amp wiring kit, Stinger 10 FAred cap, Audio Control EQS, Dynamat entire trunk floor, trunk lid, rear deck, front doors, replace all wiring to interior speakers, Hertz 3 way Hi Energy 6.5" mid bass, 3.5" mids, 1" tweeter, Herts 3.5" center channel. I'm pretty excited! Still gotta save up just a bit. I'll post pics of the install.

the main problem with your set up is your audio control, you should get the lc7, has built in summing, and sub control ****, im not sure if the 6 has the summing built in on it, and i know audio control is good product, what was the difference in the price of the lc6 vs the clean sweep? i know the clean sweet is like 40 to 50 bucks cheaper then the lc7 retail that is .. and my set up is somewhat like yours but i used a clean sweep with diamond audio hex front and rear components , with 10w7 500/1 300/4, i might change my components to the 3 way c5sinvce my hex are a little dated

ok i take it back the lc6i does have summing, you just need the sub control not sure if you have that

Been using the cleansweep and the summing module for about a year now and I've got no complaints. It's done very well.

cleansweep allows for remote level control, too. I've only got my sub running on it now, but I'll be looking to replace the door speakers soon.

think i may have this problem solved. = FAIL ON MY END to excited over the install

looks like i never paid attention to my audio control unit until staring at the picture on this thread.

my intentions where to purchase an audio control lc6i

i got the audio control lc6 a disconitued item that does not offer summing

Don't sweat it dude. If that's the only "brain freeze" you have during an install like this, you will be just fine. It all starts to run together after a while, and the stabbing pain from your lower back from leaning into the trunk all day doesn't help. Looks like you have it figured out, and should sound great when you are done!

thats exactly what I've got running...that'll do it. You got the test cd right? You HAVE to have it in order setup the levels correctly.

If you dont, I think you can find the mp3 somewhere on the interwebs.
