What tires are on your ISx50?

where?
Yours is the only one I saw in this thread for example, but lots of positive ones....
Only place I can find even 2 dozen is tire rack... with almost 700 reviews the tire is an 8.25/10... 25 reviews are below average, the other ~675 reviews are above average.
This suggests your experience is neither normal nor typical.
(the PSS FWIW is 9.28/10... better, but not twice as better, while being almost twice the price).
We can agree to disagree of course... the EVO 12 is 90% of the performance of the PSS for 1/2 the price... that's an excellent deal in my book. I still suspect you got a bad set... (and wouldn't be the first, I have seen a couple folks who did, all around the same time so possibly a bad batch- generally they had em replaced under warranty and were perfectly happy with the replacement tires)

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus in stock 18 size. 29,000 miles and the rears are at the wear indicators. No problems overall but I though I would have gotten a bit more mileage out of a 500 treadwear rating.
Looking at the Yokohama S.4 next.

How much is Hankook paying you Kurtz aka Knightshade from myis.com? you seem to be the one that is really promoting them here and in myis.com like no other lol

Uh... what are you smoking?
There's like 5 other people in this very thread that recommended the Hankooks apart from me...
0 apart from you disliking them.
Your first link BTW would be an example of someone who got tires from the defective batch, and he mentions he's working to get em replaced under warranty. Several folks reply to him pointing out it's a manufacturing defect, not an issue with the tire design. If you read LATER in the thread you find one of the other many satisfied V12 users retiring his after 45,000 good miles for example.
Second link has one guy unhappy after a couple hundred miles, and a bunch of other guys with good experience with them, including track use and more.
Third link actually has a post from the same guy with the defective tires in the first link... double dipping!
So, again, I refer to tire racks user ratings...
where there's roughly 675 above average reviews... and about 25 below average.
That's a few guys with bad tires (or guys who posted after driving 50 miles and not letting the tires break in at all) reviewing an otherwise excellent tire.
BTW on cost, I paid like $600 total for my Hankooks, that's mounted and balanced and with road hazard and tax from discount tire...(pricematch to online, plus rebate)
You paid just under $900 shipped for unmounted tires.
Apples, meet oranges!
We get you didn't like your hankooks. You're allowed to not like things... but you seem kinda... rabid... about telling the vast majority of folks who are happy with them they must somehow all be wrong, despite them outnumbering you massively... it's kinda weird...

I had brand new PSS installed on all 4's last week at discount and it cost me $1100 not counting the $70 rebate. I will be the first to admit these tires are overkill for my daily driving needs, but they were only $100 more than the DW's that I considered as they should have a better ride for DD versus my PSS. Like I have said before I was very happy with my old PSS's so I stuck with them. I may try something else next time.

Ok.. Kurtz we get it.. Hankook is the best bang for your buck tires. 2008's 2is is the best year for our 2is. Sport package is the best package for our 2is. Tanabe exhaust is the best bang for our buck for performance wise. Mark Levinson with no nav is a must. Yes.. you're always right. You win, Knightshade

(to clarify though- ML without nav is preferred on 06-09 cars- 2010+ cars the nav isn't quite as awful, and hopefully doesn't have the painfully high failure rate the 06-09 screens do, though it'll be a couple years before we know for sure... oh, and you left out Joe Z as the best bang/buck intake )

Aug 2012 Car and Driver tire test is online: http://www.caranddriver.com/comparis...omparison-test
Note that the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec which came first in the 2009 test: http://www.caranddriver.com/comparis...mparison-tests
but only managed eighth in the 2012 test. Maybe shows how quickly tire technology progresses.
