Default How the heck do I change the wiper refill blades????

I cannot for the life of me see how this can be changed. I bought refills and all that came was the rubber blades...

Help!

Thanks.

I got the 20" one done. Then got the 22" blade off and noticed that the one I have, the thin metal blade slips into the wiper refill. The replacement they sent me has the slits for the metal slips (2) to go on the outsisde. I emailed Sewell and will see what they say.

I would advise not going with the blade refills. It is a PITA!

It's actually quite easy I thought. I just did mine a few weeks ago for the first time. Took me a minute to figure out how to slide the entire rubber blade off if the wiper. Then just pull out the metal stiffeners and reinsert into new rubber blade. Definitely much cheaper option and it takes 5 minutes after you learn how.

Changing the refills is pretty simple if you know what you're doing. No more than 2-5 minutes max. You basically just pull the old ones out, transfer the metal strips to the new ones and slide them back in. It's really just that easy.

Its very easy. Make sure you don't toss out the metal strips though!!! You need to put em on your new blades!

This is the easiest wiper refill exchange I have ever done in my life.
It is dumb proof.

Like I said. The longer blade has the strip that goes into a slot in the blade but the refill Sewell sent has the slot for 2 metal strips to go on the outside.

I emailed them and will see what they say.

I don't know what you're talking about, both inserts are the exact same (with the exception of how long they are). If you've got a different style on the car, someone changed the blade.
