Lightbulb How to change Puddle lights to LED with out pulling the mirror glass.

Just change my puddle lights to LED with out taking the mirror glass off.
4 screws. behind the mirror easy to access with a #1 Phillips screwdriver.
Pull the back cover and access the bulb.
Put back 4 screws and that is it.
Enjoy.

I did it by only taking out the outermost 2. Following the DIY thread that's already posted here.

Removing two screws and prying the shell apart method is PITA. Just yank out the mirror then unscrew 4 screws.

Don't do what the thread says .... you are gonna ruin it if you got photochromic, heated or power mirrors. Just push the upper edge of the glass in, pry off the lower prongs, then the upper ones and you got free unimpeded access to the four screws.

I know this is an old thread but just wanted to warn people not to press to hard on the mirror when putting it back on. I guess I did on the driver side and now I have the rainbow color, warped look on half of the mirror! Lesson learned, I didn't know that could happen at all. I think my passenger side was saved due to me using a cloth when pushing the glass back in.

Anyhow, results are way better with the white led! Good luck....
