at least BMW dealers were like that. i'm in the process of purchasing a 2010 IS350 from a dealer but would like to take it to service in my local dealer (only 3 miles away). sure they'll do service on it but will they treat you differently because you didn't purchase the car from them?

My dealer gives me a loaner and I didn't even buy my 350 from a Lexus dealer. You'll be fine.

In the US at least they are required to provide a loaner if the service will be >8 hours or overnight.

Anything "better" than that is at dealer discretion (mine for example provides them for any service of 2 hours or more, regardless of where the car came from)

I didn't buy my car from a Lexus dealer and they give me a loaner if the service is more than 2 hours. Got to drive some nice GS's and RX's.

The price of the loaner is included in with the service. You're still paying for it

Not as a separate line item, no. But nothing in life is free...

So many people complain about how much more it cost to get service done at a dealership. Where do you think the money is going?

I've never had a local repair shop offer a new RX to ride around in.

Are all loaners "Lexus" brand? At my dealer they have some Lexus loaners. When they run out, they use a rental car company, Not Lexus...

Quick Reply: does Lexus dealers give out loaner car even if you didn't buy the car from them?
