For those of you who have ebay taillights and had to add a resistor inorder to get rid of codes being thrown. Can you please chime in on the process/install of the resistors. Any diy or pictures to help an electrically challenged member. Where do you tap the resistor into and also what sizes work? thanks!

This most likely wont help but I got the E-bay LED tail lights and I never used a resistor I cut the connector off and spliced the wires direct. Worked for a year now with no codes.

depanding on the year of your car.. 06-07 didnt have the problem.. 08 and up throw the code's i believe..

i hope someone can chime in, i had this problem before (when i had the tail lights) but decided to sell them because i couldnt find a fix at that time.

Boy with the luck I've had with these tails I'd be afraid to cut off the connector at the risk of it not working again.. . Glad to hear that worked for you though. Of course if I get desperate then perhaps I have no choice

Cause you got an 06' buddy!!! Stupid connectors/harnesses are different for 08 . I'm about this close to chucking them into the bay lol

The member I got these off of also had a 2008. They were completely plug and play for him. Did Lexus make two different harnesses in the same model year?? What about the Eagle Eyes (ebay tails), are they any different in terms of design or harness from when they were first release till now. Reason I ask, is I wonder if I bought some new ones would they work. Of course murphy's law says I'd have the same problem and be stuck with two pairs of lights. Agghhh - frustrated member
