Braking taking too much effort on 350
Hi Guys
I have noticed that ever since winter started it has started to take a lot more foot effort to hold th brake pedal down. The actual brakes seem effective, but it's annoying having to put in about 3 times more effort than I am used to. Anyone know what this could be? I have no clue...
Thanks in advance.

This happens to me whenever I'm leaving the garage in the morning, I usually have to press the brakes much harder to stop, plus it makes a squealing sound that can be heard a few houses down the ally. Once the car and brakes has warmed up, both of these things go away. It's most likely the cold weather or worn pads.

In previous winters I've observed that after a whole lot of ABS activation, the brake pedal seems to engage higher than normal (i.e., normally it would sink a bit before engaging, but after lots of ABS it engages at the top of its travel), and the brake booster seems a tad less effective. The first time this happened I was concerned that something was wrong, but I've observed that things eventually return to normal after a week or so.

Sounds like a problem with the booster - not enough vacuum. Might be a couple of things, definitely something you'd want warranty to cover.
