Hello,

I am looking into purchasing some new wheels is it possible to buy a set of TPMS sensors off another ISX50 model so i dont have to remove them from my current wheels.

All 2IS models use compatible TPMS sensors, so yes, it is.

Note you'll still need to pay someone (a dealer or, if you're lucky, a local tire shop) to program the second set into your car. And you might need the codes on the sensors themselves to do so (if the place doing it doesn't have the scanner that picks it up).

Write down the # off the sensors and see if the dealer can help you or charge you less ,but also aftermaket shop can maybe program it.

Get the sensors off eBay. You can get them for ~$12 vs. $100 at the dealer. Then take it to a good tire shop that can program them for you. Make sure your new wheels are TPMS compatible, or buy a set of iForged TPMS brackets to make them work.

Do you know if the sensors are factory fitted to UK IS 250 F-Sport MY11 models?

I'm not aware of/can't find any cabin controls on my car?

No, only North American models have TPMS. Sorry, I forget there are people from other countries on here from time to time .

I had them on my UK spec Golf GTI MkV MY2006

I'm surprised Lexus don't fit them as standard to the IS
I think they are a great idea.

You have to program the car, it will not work without programming, even if they're from another IS.

Are all Toyota/lexus sensors the same? I need a set for summer wheels. What do I have to match up to make sure they will work?

No, they are not all the same, though the ones that the IS uses (Pacific PMV-107J) are used in many other models.

Some models that aren't the same (this probably isn't comprehensive): SC430, Sienna, Tundra, Tacoma, Sequoia, 2012+ Camry, 2013+ Avalon, Scion FR-S.

Not trying to thread jack but I have a question, I'm planning on using my TPMS on my OEM 18's on my new wheels which are 19's. Do I need to program them since they technically have bigger tires?

If you're using the same sensors, there is no need to reprogram anything.
