Default Buying a car from one dealership, serviced at another

I'm getting ready to purchase an IS250. The one I really want is in another county. Those familiar with socal, I'm thinking of buying an IS250 in Escondido,
CA (San Diego county). I currently live in Los Angeles, CA.

Say if I purchase this vehicle and somehow something goes wrong with the car and I decide to bring it into the dealership to have it checked on. Can I bring it to any local Lexus dealership near me or am I stuck with that one dealership in Escondido?

Any Lexus dealership will do. Why the **** would a dealership turn away business?

It's very common for folks to purchase at one and service at another. no worries!

Warranty work gets billed to Lexus, so any dealer will be happy to have you.

No worries. But I have had an Audi dealership question me as to why I wasn't taking my car back to the dealer I got it from. I think they notice once they punch in your info or see the license plate frame. But like everyone has said, they get paid for the work so it ultimately doesn't matter.

Just go to the one that's most convenient for you, as long as you get a good vibe there. Like others mentioned, warranty work gets billed straight to Lexus, so any dealership should be happy to get your business since they'll get reimbursed.

You should realize that dealerships make most of their money on service, not on sales. I'm sure they'd rather sell you a car too, but if they had a choice between the sale or the service, they would take your service business in a heartbeat.
