Default Might buy a 2007 IS Awd- 18,500 - good deal?

Silver outside, black inside, leather "fully loaded - everything but the nav" according to the seller who is a friend of mine .

52k miles, claims it's in mint condition.

As I'm a Chevy guy and this is my first venture into "luxury" I really don't know if this is a good deal, according to KBB it is. However I know that YOU the members of this forum know better.

A mutual friend of ours (that is more my friend than his) claims that it really is in perfect condition, inside and out.

Think I'll go to the bank tomorrow!

Any advice?

I would take some pic and post it up. Fully loaded for the AWD should come with
•Semi-aniline perforated leather-trimmed interior
•Heated and ventilated front seats
•Power tilt-and-telescopic steering column
•Lexus Memory System
•Electrochromic (auto-dimming) outside mirrors with auto tilt-down in reverse
•Power rear sunshade
•Bi-Xenon™ High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps
•Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) •Illuminated door-sill scuff plates
•Rain-sensing intermittent windshield wipers with mist cycle
•Rear spoiler
•Navigation

Thanks. I will make sure it does.

I wont see it till tomorrow or the day after depending on when all this snow is cleared!

It doesn't have navigation.

With that consideration, if it's in great shape, what do you think of the price?

i consider this a pretty good deal, on autotrader ive seen is250s with 60+k miles go for 18k+, as far as the package i think you have the premium package which is not fully loaded

either way seems like a good price talk him down a stack or 500

my friend bought his 07 awd for 10k more than what your friend is asking and his had 18k miles when he bought it a year back, so you can compare to that (his only had the premium package)

I say if it's about or lower than the KBB value and it's clean then buy it! Have it checked out as well to be sure.

Yea?

I've looked on ebay/ auto trader/ carmax/ craigs list...

seems like for 18k you either get SUPER high miles (150k+) or dents or damaged cars...

average price i've seen for excellent condition at this many miles was 20k..

seems like a fair price. I've known this guy since middle school and he is heavily part of my friends circle.

He told me tonight "listen man, I just want to pay off the loan"

I'd say its a great deal and you should go for it

I got my 06 rwd with 36k miles for 21 or 22 before tax so I would say if it looks meticulous jump on it, you wont be disappointed, its a great car

we knew it was the 250 because in 07 only the 250 came in AWD.

And the difference is 100hp. The 250 is a turtle, the 350 is a rabbit and the ISF is a cheetah

If you really want and like the car and you truly know the owner/history of the car, then it's a good deal.

Since your friend is selling it, I take it there is no warranty attached to the car? Is low price your main concern?

Seems reasonable considering the mileage although I do think you could do better if you look on a site like autotrader.com, which coincidentally is where I bought my previous car. I wish my GS had a warranty when I bought it. :/

The warranty is whatever is left on the factory I guess. Haven't really looked into that aspect.

Well this guy is doing the hard sell on me. LoL - called me up just now saying he needs to know by 4 tomorrow because he's got another buyer.

Hmmm. Sounds like he's hard up for cash.
