Hmm, I live in NY and had to dig my car out of 2-3ft of snow today. I have 20's with continental DWS's (All Seasons) and I drove all over today. Just get the DWS's, you dont NEED snow tires. But they are a huge help. And you have to avoid roads that dont have enough ground clearance. My car is lowered and I stayed off roads that had snow higher then 6-8 inches.

im from MA and im quite used to the snow. i usually have a metal shovel in my trunk so just in case i get stuck, i can dig my way out or at least get traction. snow tires def will be a help.
after that blizzard that just went through, driving wasnt too bad for me. im running on stock 17s with toyo extensa hp tires. got a good deal. prior to that set, i was on toyo proxy4. didnt have much trouble in the snow.
