Default Brake caliper spray paint?

Just wondering anybody know where i can buy some brake caliper spray paint? instead of the brush on ones? Apparently my shop has no high temperature paint to help me paint my brake calipers which i think is pretty BS... so anybody knows? i want to paint it blue, something like the F sport blue.

Theres that G2 spray paint kit that a lot of people use. Its like 40$ though. You could use any high temp spray paint and some high temp clear and it will hold up for a while, I did that on my integra a while back and it held up forever.

VHT makes a high temp caliper/engine paint in a spray can. They are a well known brand and I checked their site for you and they do make bright blue. It is sold at auto parts stores like Kragen and Napa Auto Parts. Don't forget to degrease the brakes with something like Simple Green and tape off surrounding areas. Have fun!

I don't think G2 makes spray paint kit, they are brush on paint kits. Their quality is A+ ! its just the thing that me and my buddy were not very good with taking the brakes down and reinstalling it. The paint looked very awesome untill we leaked a lot of brake fluids on them and that just completely destoryed the paint. Heres a picture before we spilled brake fluid on my brake caliper looked pretty awesome !

Thanks for the help Sffd103, too bad VHT don't have examples of what their bright blue paint looks like.... i really wanted to see how it look like.

Anybody know how much does it usually cost to have their brake calipers professionally painted by a shop?

So you decided on green? Probably like $150 for all four.

CCM03 : how much did that cost you?

Sffd103: i have green right now but everybody dislike it so i am just gonna change it to blue.

G2 has some very good looking colors, too bad they are all brush on kits....

I used Duplicolor rattle can caliper paint for my brakes...I used brake cleaner to prep and clean, silver as a primer, red for color, but I couldn't find a clear caliper paint from Duplicolor so I went with VHT for the clear...

You can find caliper paint at any local parts store (Napa, Advanced, Pep Boys, etc...) I didn't want to pay extra for shipping, so I just went to a couple different locations to get everything I needed...

I think it turned out great
