Raised Leather Issue

Oh no, P. And I don't think anyone sits in the back, right? Wondering if it's a separation issue? They should cover it, your car is NEW! Geeze good luck with that.
Awaiting the pics.

You're right... it's only wifey and I rolling in my IS. It's one person for the weekdays.
I'm thinking that too... it's probably 2 pieces of leather mended together. It's somehow failing at that point.
Waiting for wife to bring my baby home safe so I can snap the pics.

Might not be two pieces of leather but maybe leather and a backing? Something light because of the perforations...Which may in fact be the problem. If it's too light maybe it's not adhering to the leather properly.
I know the car is parked inside so it's not exposure to sun or anything....
And knowing you there's it's not due to a drink in the car. Dang this is killing me. OPTIK did they say what caused it?

I'm a bit more picky since my car is only 8 months old. I bought my car brand new back in June 2010. This isn't normal... the leather on my wife's 2006 Acura RSX doesn't even have any of this. So, it's time to visit the dealer again
I'll post what happens... most likely this should be covered under the bumper-to-bumper warranty. If they say it's normal or within spec, I'll show them my wife's RSX and ask them to show me 2 cars that have them on the showroom.

I guess the replacement cover is like $1800, so unless you have an amazing dealer expect at least a tiny bit of push back (even if it's not justified).

P, if it makes you feel any better, my TA has those all over the place from day one. On mine it's the natural wrinkle from when the cow lost weight.
