Default Check VSC error message after headlamp replacement

New here, and posting on old thread. Apologies if this isn't protocol...

I just replaced my HID headlamps (2nd Gen IS350 with HID's) and too received the Check VSC error after install, upon starting engine.

With all due respect... I'm a little confused as to why disconnecting the MAF would cause a Vehicle Stability Control error (VSC)? Are you guys sure that was the problem?

Maybe I'm off base, aren't the headlamps self-leveling and connected into the VSC? Could I placed the bulbs into the socket incorrectly?

Anyone still following this thread? Ideas? Others have this issue? Thanks

The check VSC indicator comes on ANY time the check engine light is on. That's because the car automatically disables traction and stability control while the check engine light is on.

Cool Resolved

Thanks for the reply.

I have resolved the issue. As was mentioned earlier in the post- the MAF was disconnected with accessory power on, which apparently triggers an error and illuminates the VSC/Check engine. I turned off the power and waited 30 minutes (my next step would of been to disconnect the battery). However, the error message seemed to reset itself since the MAF was connected- after I waited 30 min.

What codes did you guys read when you scanned your OBD2, I’m getting an o2 sensor code and over voltage codes.
