Default Scratches after car wash at dealership!!

Do you ever feel that after car wash, your car shows/gets new scratches? Got back from car wash at the dealership and I could immediately see some. MIne is a black IS 250.

Yes, we have a standing "No Wash" order at our dealership for this very reason. This would be especially true for a black car. Sorry to hear about the trouble.

My car also gets "No car wash" tag everytime im at a dealer; they did wash my car once, and just like your car mine had scratches too. The car was 3 weeks old and the dealer was kind enough to fix them free of charge

The dealership I go to use automated car washes which is crap. We also. Have a hand wash, but they use heavy chemicals soaps, that are mainly used to breakdown brake dust. Plus they use a broomstick to scrub the car.

If you want nice paint, never let anyone wash your car except youself.

here's my story:
i had just washed the car myself the day before. went into lexus of stevens creek service center and i said no wash, they wrote no wash on my work order...and yet they still washed it. i emailed the service manager about how outraged i was, and he had the hood and fender of my car power buffed.

ultra fail. but it all got fixed. hope your situation works out. good luck.

even from my taking delivery at the dealer, i've always stated that i didn't want the car washed. it might have some dust on it, but i'll take dust over scratches any day. especially scratches on a black ride. some people like it because it's a free car wash, but personally i'd rather just hand wash and take my extra precautionary care that i wont swirl or scratch my car up.

I think we've all learned this the hard way at some point or another. Yes, definitely never let your dealer wash your car. What's funny is the last dealer I took mine too, the SA pleaded with me to let them wash it. I explained I've never seen a dealer that hasn't scratched/swirled my car, but he acted like he's never heard of such a thing. I still said no and he finally let it go.

Thank you all, my only concern now is that since I live in an apartment it might not be feasible to do it myself. I mean I will if I have to somehow but wanted opinion on Hand car washes..like autospa?
