Looks very clean. One of the best setups I've seen in here. To reiterate one of the previous questions, did you end up with a separate bass control?

I did not mess with the anything except disconnecting the factory sub.

I installed the Alpine bass **** for the PDX amplifiers (see pic below).

It sounds great, except since I listen to all kinds of music (mostly House, Trance, Rock, & Country) it seems that I am constantly having to adjust the control. I had a similar set-up in my last DD (BMW 330ci ZHP w/ HK sound) and the sub seemed to blend a little better with that factory radio. I haven't had the time to get back to my installer and see what can be adjusted. I think it may be the factory radio because some factory radios tend to stop adding low frequencies at a certain volume level.

But, the sound itself is amazing. The BMW did not have a pass-through, which made it really crappy if I wanted to get some extra bass; the IS does, so it's all good there.

Um...trying to think...I'd have to check my actual receipts for the product (You can check MSRP), but my girl sells car audio gear so I got everything at a little over cost. The labor total, however, was like $550, I think.

Not sure what the 4080 enclosure is, but mine was built by hand out of fiberglass by my installer.

Ok. LoL

The last pic is from the engine-out service to change the timing belts every 3-5 years.

If you find yourself a GREAT (NOT good) installer, they can do magic....

And, for those of you that may say it isn't enough....LoL...here are some pics from the last car I owned back in 2001 that had a phenomenal sound system.

Car was a 1996 Honda Civic Ex I bought new. These pics are from 2001 (Remember how much those damn video/dvd units cost when they first came out???)

I just kinda outgrew spending $15k on a stereo for my car. LoL

Enjoy the pics.

What watt amp are you running? I was thinking about getting a 10" w6 and someone told me that I needed to run a 1000 watt amp...

Alpine PDX-M6

1000Wrms would blow a JL W6; JL Audio recommends 600Wrms (Check their site).

I am a huge fan of the new ALpine PDX-Series amps; I have their 4x100 powering a set of $1000 Focal separates in my 355.

They are clean, digital, and tiny as hell.
