I was told that doing this will void your warranty...splicing into the factory system will do that. What is ur take on this?

It might void the warranty for any components that were directly affected by the splicing, but the dealer can't say your ENTIRE warranty is void because of it. That would be illegal.
The (every 3-5yr) engine-out service costs about $7500 from a dealer and around $5k from an independent shop.
I was looking at a mid 90s 345 as a daily driver til I found out about the timing belt 30k mile service. Thats about a year and a half for me so I bought my IS350C.
1000Wrms would blow a JL W6; JL Audio recommends 600Wrms (Check their site).
I am a huge fan of the new ALpine PDX-Series amps; I have their 4x100 powering a set of $1000 Focal separates in my 355.
They are clean, digital, and tiny as hell.
You can never "over power" a subwoofer. You can however "under power" a speaker. Also all a "bass ****" dose it adjust distortion. They are horriable to use. Ask your installer to remove it and add something like an audio control LC6 or similar audio processor to adjust the levels and help with the over all clarity. Your source could also have something to do with it I.E cell phone,iPod,etc. clean install.
