Rearview mirror fell off :(
About a year ago I had to repair my windshield due to a crack, today, came out to my car and my rearview mirror fell off Was hanging by the cables...
How do I reattach to the windshield? The stickyness is all gone on the attach point.

Dealing with this now. This is what greeted me this morning when I came out to my car that was parked on the street. Some 3m tape should help?
I coincidentally just had brought my car back from the dealer when this happened- I had taken my car there to have some things checked out before my 50k warranty was up. I have like 30 miles to go before I'm at over 50k. I don't think I can do it.

Jewel, if you're going to DIY - use a marker on the outside of the glass first. Outline where the pad goes. Scrape the inside with a razor blade and clean the area with rubbing alcohol. Use a piece of masking tape to hold the metal pad in place while the glue sets.

By the way that the mirror are folded, it looks like someone bumped into the mirror housing and knocked off the mirror.

If you look up the diy thread for swapping the puddle lights with brighter led, you should be able to find some tips on how to pop it back it. Just be careful and apply gradual pressure. Some people end up cracking the mirror... just be gentle.

Below are scans of the documents I brought back from Lexus of Silver Spring:

I dont know if you bought your car CPO or if its still under warranty, but my moms GS350 had this same problem after sitting outside in the texas heat one day. She took it in to the dealership only to find that the windshield was replaced already once and was not the original "lexus" windshield. They do something a little bit different from the factory with their windshields apparently that helps the rear view mirror adhere better. Needless to say, they replaced her windshield with a lexus one. I would call up if your still under warranty
