Default Transmission Clicking when shifting into Park

Hi guys,

I've read through the threads regarding valve springs, gas pedals, etc. Is there any info regarding a clicking noise when shifting into Park? For the past few months, I've been hearing a clicking noise from time to time when shifting into Park on my 08 IS 250 RWD. Any insight is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Are the brakes on when you do this?

When you shift it into park, during the click is it when the car rolls slightly? Typically this happens when you left off the brakes after you put it in park on a hill.

U shouldn't put stress on the tran, next time when u turn ur car off, shift to N, pit ur parking brake on, then shift to park, no more clicking and no stress on tran

Also, I have an automatic transmission, so i'm not sure if shifting to N, putting my parking brake on, etc still applies. The clicking noise happens even when I'm not on a hill. I heard it while parking in my parking garage, which is pretty flat. Usually what happens is I park my car, step on the brakes, shift to park, and let go of everything.
