My used Lexus IS250 has a soft, sticky dash that scratches and mars easily.

Ok ladies and gentleman I spoke with a lawyer yesterday who would be willing to take this on as he is a friend but he knows what he is doing. I will also be contacting the better business bureau today. He said that the more support the petition gets the better our chances are of getting this issue fixed. He also said that you do not need to be directly affected by this issue to sign and support this petition. So if you are affected by it SIGN it, if you think it is wrong that Lexus makes cars that cost so much money and have interiors that literally fall apart in a few years SIGN it. Please spread the word and help me get as many signatures as possible. Thank you i will keep you updated.

I signed it as well, as my dash in my 2006 250 is terrible. Whole thing is sticky, and every time something barely touches it it chips off.

Need to wait for my appointment with the service manager to have the damaged estimated. will let everyone know. But please keep up the signatures the more we have the better our chances. I promise lexus does not want this getting out.

The dash is a POS.
I went to change the center vents as it was scratched by the previous owner.
Hardly touch the dashboard but the edges start crumbling off.
Rubbish quality for 70k aud car.
Got quote by lexus dealer in AUS $2800 to change dashboard

Hello guys and gals, has anyone figured out how to remove the sticky residue.

To name a few I have tried lots of things wd40, lemon juice, baking soda, adhesive remover, dishwashing liquid but no luck. If I could remove the sticky residue I could get someone to spray over the dashboard I think or depending on if the removal process leaves the color of the dash in tact I could let it stay as is. One thing is for sure the shininess of the dash due to the stickiness severely impairs my visibility so I have to put a piece of black paper over the sticky area on the driver's side.

As stated earlier in the thread, I had my dash replaced a while back. Now my door cards are going in the Houston heat. If I knew multiple parts of this car would melt within a few years, I never would have bought it. What a nightmare.

it is very irritating to have a sticky car interior but with the high heat around the plastic will melts definitely. just view the new posting on sticky melting solution.
