I ran over 2 dead raccoons, in my BMW 325i, I was behind a semi at night, doing about 65 mph, and suddenly they were there! I had lowered the car about an 1.5in, it felt like i had hit a brick wall! When I got home, no damage to the bumper thank goodness, but there was some serious blood and guts and a hole the size of a baseball in the undercarriage!

I ran over a plastic bag. Didn't worry at all at the time. I noticed there was a burning plastic smell everytime I got out of the car. Turned out that plastic bag was stuck on one of the exhaust pipes. Couldn't get it off either.

LOL, are you available for hire?

Just kidding. To keep it on topic, I agree that you need to check your oil pan. I once ran over a HUGE rock (though not in my Lexus thankfully) and it put a serious dent in my oil pan.

I ran over a plastic barrel that they used to hold gas--wait a min... I actually never ran it over, it wouldn't go under the car

It cracked my bumper, flew over my car, and landed on someone's windshield behind me. I saw a lot of swerving lol

Ran over a tire today. Someone's tire sidewall floating around the freeway. Couldn't avoid it. Damaged my driver side front bumper a bit and broke the mounting tab of my foglight as if it was forced all the way in due to the tire. Too sad to take pix .... Going to sand down the bumper tomorrow and primer it. Just the driver side of course where the damage is. Foglight assembly is still fixable so I'll put it together and reinforce it with some fiberglass.

I had a similar story. Something hit my rear drivers side door and it put these little dents in the door. I took it to a body shop and they want 1350 for the repairs. They said whatever hit my car broke the reinforcements for the door. I was only expecting to pay 200-300 for dent removal. I'm gonna take it to a few other places and see what they say. I hate when things are in the road.

Hmmm... what have I run over with my IS350....

(1) Little Bunny Rabbit - it did a suicide attempt infront of my car and I killed it. I had all sorts of fur trapped in my bottom grill and it broke my fog light. After crying hysterically, I washed it off and put my fog light kind of back into place so things wouldn't look ghetto. Boyfriend had a nice laugh about that...

(2) Major huge tire threads on the freeway going 80. Somehow... BOTH TIMES... it screwed up JUST the same fog light the bunny broke. Both of them kind of left major dings in my front bumper.

(∞) Dead animals sitting out in the road. Biggest one I hit lately was a nice big armadillo.

Can't complain about how great these cars can hold up!
