Just redid mine this weekend. Plastidip right over the last stuff. Just make sure the paint surface is clean.

I did. But then I also painted it to match the sfp and put a couple coats of gloss on it too. 2 coats of plasti dip, 2 coats of white, 2 coats of gloss. (I did the same with my stock wheels, except painted then gloss black, before I got my new wheels.)

Sfp = starfire pearl. It's just white but it's close. Haha. And thanks!

Wow haven't been on this page in awhile haha.

1. What are you trying to accomplish with Plasti Dipping your headlights? It will make them pitch black and not work, so I don't recommend it.

2. I also plasti dipped my roof, did not come out so well. Does not work well for large surface areas

3. Yes you can do it on your engine cover, it does not get that hot

I tried this thing 2 times and it keeps peeling off the letters. Then removing the leftover plastic is a PITA to reset. I hate this!
Hella fail (me).

Took me several tries to get it right too. Yes, it was frustrating, but I think the key to success is spraying it in even, thin coats and letting it dry fully in between each coat.
