It belongs to TOYOMOTO. I asked Lance to build another one for me.

This is not a simple bolt on conversion kit. Everything was custom built. Took them over 2 years. Apparently this guy is the best toyota tuner down in FL. I doubt he will ever make a "conversion kit" and if he ever did AWD would be the last thing he would do.

Seriously, a proven install like this, properly documented and capable of being performed as a "common" conversion would make the 2IS a freaken' legend in car tuning....just like the 240SX with a RB26DETT. I for one will definitely do this conversion if Toyomoto can do it on an IS350.

Your best bet would probably write Toyomoto an email or give them a call.

Sick build, would have loved to see a V160/1 on there but it's all good.

Might I ask why you feel that way? What 2jzgte motor (non vvti or vvti) has the standing mile,1/4 mile,1/8th mile, and highest HP output record?

He should do the IS350 brake upgrade like I did, it will let the car keep its sleeper look but will still be upgrading the brakes.

I say cause i want to say it, why would somebody put an old *** 2jzgte non vvti in a 2010 car and have even more headache. At least he put a fairly new engine technology wise in the car.

this is going to cost upwards of 10k (in parts only i believe) for anyone who wants to do this...is it really worth the trouble?? there's also no guarantee it'll work like this one unless toyomoto agrees to do it for you, which i doubt they will unless they're paid handsomely.

Oh ok but those old *** 2jzgte blocks are solid. You can get a brand new
2jzgte short block from toyota for $2.5K. The vvti wiring is actually more headache than the non-vvti in most cases but I'm not sure about this setup. On top of that controlling vvti with a stand alone EMS is a bigger headache, most people just leave stock ecu in and use EMS for everything else. Some even claim the vvti blocks have weaker rods. I get your point about a newer engine and technology but the old *** 2jzgte is still stout and reliable.

I get what your saying and all your points are valid, Non vvti esy to tune and yes the vvti is hard to tune unless you have a hks fcon and even then you have nobody to tune it unless your in japan lol. I guess he wanted to be different and he achieved his goal and it looks like it should run well.
