Default Interior repair ?

Ok so all the black rubber crap in my car is garbage. Like the dash and the rubber on the door panels. Its all fading and falling off, has anyone ever fixed this stuff ? I was thinking about getting it covered in suede but heard that it attracts to much dust.

And has anyone ever gotten this done ? How much did it cost you ?

Did you try checking out the Automotive Care & Detailing Forum for tips?

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/aut...detailing-122/

I know for leather, there are some products that can help restore the leather. Perhaps, there maybe some polish or product that can help with the plastic.

Worse case, you can take it to any auto detailer and let the pros fix it.

Is your car still under warranty? If so, make an appointment and have them check it. You at least have a shot at warranty replacements.

Haven't had any issues with my interior materials. A quick wipe down with a damp rag each week has kept it as new.

Yup I've been having the same problem. I brought my car to Lexus for some warranty work and had them look at it. The dealer said they couldn't do anything for me cause its out of warranty. I also spoke to corporate and the very nice gentleman said I'm sorry thats normal wear and tare item so we cant help you. I asked him so its normal for your cars to fall apart after the warranty is over. He reply was no this is normal were and tare . So then I asked him if I ever bought another lexus should I expect this to happen again, anybody know what his answer was. I will try to take pics latter.
PS the dealer quoted me $1200 for each door panel, lol

I had a similar issue with my dash. I'm lucky I still have a factory warranty. My dash was really sticky and it would attract tons of dust . In certain areas the dash actually melted or something. I scheduled an appointment with lexus and it was replaced a week later.

I'm having the same problem as well. The dash is very soft and rubbery and it has a few spots where you can see smudges from my fingers. Very disappointing and I don't have a lot of hope that Lexus will fix it.
