Just received my reflector light tints in the mail, the instructions say to use hand soap mixed with some water and to apply it on the taillight then to apply the tint..

is this a good way of putting it on?
is there any other recommended ways?

I've seen it done with aero spray (window cleaner) applied to the lights. I think as long as it is wet and slippery, it is all you need to apply the film and correct it with a wedgie. Then heat gun or hair dry it.

a squeegee, a credit card or something similar works. Use it to squeeze out all the water/soap/solution out from under the film after you have it in the proper position.

i used a hairdryer and a plastic squeegee. i used windex lol. spray it on ur hands before u peel off the tint and then spray it on the sticky part of the tint and on the tail lights. this way u can adjust the tint and then once its all lined up, squeegee out the windex. and use the hairdryer to stretch the tint over curves. but not too much or else it might rip. good luck!

just use some water with a bit of dish soap. dawn, palmolive, sunlight...whatever you have at home.

credit card works, but a plastic squeegee won't scratch up the vinyl.

lol I got a empty bottle of windex that was used, and filled 4/5 water 1/5 alcohol.

I cleaned the tails with rinse, soap, rinse, then applied the mixture (indicated by aerotect instructions).

sprayed mixture on the sticky side of the tint and slowly started from the middle to the outer. use squeege and take the bubbles out from the middle to outside. if there are moments when you feel like there is too much vinyl making them overlap, simply use a hairdryer ( i think heat gun might be waaay to hot), and spray some more of the mixture around it and slowly work ur way around the corners.

simple and anyone can do it very hard to screw up

From Installing my clear bra...

Mix 99% water and 1% BABY shampoo. - U don't want any harsh soap on it which may fade or discolor it.

Do it in a clean garage and WASH your hands. Make sure your tail lights are clean

Spray on the solution on the tail lights and your hands. Next spray on the sticky side of the film.

Align it to the piece your want it set on. You can slide it to fit.

Spray on top of the film. (This make it easier to squeegee the film).

Use the squeegee to set the film. Make sure to start from the Center and work to outside edges. Slide out all moisture and air bubbles.

You can use heatgun or hair dryer to soften the film for easier fitment.

If you still see air bubbles you can poke it with a needle and allow the air out.
