Might "Downgrade" to another car...

I had an 01 vert 6-speed and that car a blast to drive. I had the special edition time attacks on them. I miss that car too. If that car is your dream car then go for it.

Go for it. If you really want it. At one point i was debating over the IS350 or E46 M3. Never got a chance to drive the m3. Im sure if i did i would've probably gotten it :P
But we all know how beamers are with service and maintenance.

Life is too short to worry about maintenance. If you can afford it, then do it. If it was all about reliability, then you'll never enjoy the car you've dreamed of. You can't put a price on happiness. I know lots of people who do not known Toyota and despite having to repair their cars every 2 months, they are damn happy. If you need reliability, get a Honda Civic for the weekdays.

Go for it if that's what you want.
Personally I'd never even consider an e46 m3. I love the M3, but the only one I'd consider is the newest e92 m3.
On the topic of your 06 IS350, just curious - do you usually drive with traction control off (pedal dance needed) or on? Do you have F-sport sway bars installed?
These are two of the most basic and high impact things one can do to markedly improve the IS350's handling (F-sport sways) and "joy of driving" (no annoying traction control) aspects.

It's the $120 oil changes that kept me at bay with BMW.
I thought the Audi was rough at $100 (Learned to go to VW for $60!)
I know I'm new to the Lexus, but I'm glad to be back in a reasonable price range for oil and wipers blades!

Hey guys,
In Seattle the 350 is pretty "uncommon" 85% of the IS's are AWD 250.
As for driving, no suspension work done except for H&R springs and it improved handling DRAMATICALLY with much less body roll. I dont regularly drive with traction off but on occasion I do.
I'm a DIY type guy. I never take a car into a shop or dealership unless its 1) free maintenance 2) A specific job I cant do.
With that said I can do my own oil changes with BMW recommended oil, oem filter for $88, tranny and diff fluid I can replace, spark plugs, belts are relatively simple, clutch job can be done with specific tools and basic knowledge of a manual tranny. Only thing I wont mess with is the valve adjustment or any of that vanos bs. I'll pay the trusted indy shop $600 for valve adjustment.
