Lexus IS Tail Lights IS-F vs LED
I purchased a CPO 2007 Obsedian Black IS350 (Creme interior) in April of this year. The one thing that irritates me are the orange rectangles in the rear tail lights. I want that whited out and it seems my options are to change to the IS-F or the LED tail lights.
Does anyone have pictures/feedback on which you think look best? Initially I thought the LED's had a cheap look to them however I heard they look very good on. I would love to see pictures of both....
Also since I have a CPO I was told by lexus changing these wouldn't void my warranty as long as I used same harnesses/wires,etc as my current light. I assume the vendors on ebay sell them to easily plug in? Do you guys have them professionally installed or put in yourself?
I'm sure this is a report so I'm sorry, I'm not familiar navigating around the forum yet.

Here you go.

Edit: The LEDs are not plug and play

Another option is just to red out the orange square for $20 from aerotect.

Thank you, have you done this on yours? Which did you get? I don't mind the $20 quick fix but don't want to sacrafice looks if its going to look cheap.

I've done the red outs for my 09 2IS, which is different than yours. The 09 one is a bit harder to do, but it turned out great IMO. Many members have redouts on here, and it does not look tacky at all.

You can also consider 09+ taillights with redouts, but this option will be more expensive -

Scroll down to toHn's post. I find that the 09+ tails look nice particularly during the night.

To the OP, i had doubts to the LED tails as well thinking it was cheap looking. But honestly, you have to see it in person. I love the LED tails, makes the car more aggressive day and night. Got many compliments including ISF owners
