DIY: Turn Ventilated seats into A/C Seats - EASY
#77
check out post 41 (or was it 43?) for pics!! It's that simple. This "mod" seriously took me 30 seconds per seat and today on the way home from being out on the water all day... it was a welcome change!

ok, I got inspired by this and found a piece of plastic (drawer organizer) that I thought would fit the bill. Here are some pics.
One thing that I do not know is whether the vented seats can be cleaned in any way, I assume in time the dust can clog the pathways through the seat...the fan looks like the main blower in miniature and it has no filter in front of it.

IKEA drawer insert, SUMMERA. After cutting it to use in my son's drawer I was left with the piece I posted earlier

Soft enough to easily cut it to the desired size, and it keeps it's shape. I thought about cardboard but this is a better solution in my case.

OK, I am an idiot, so I am going to ask a stupid question.
Is that an AC duct outlet underneath the driver's seat? If yes, does that mean that what you are doing is just aiming the air that comes out of it up into the fan on the bottom of the seat (assuming there is a fan on the bottom of the seat?
Thanks.

Back from the dead. Can someone post up how to do this?
I have an 08 ISF and I want to retrofit ventilated seats and then do this as well. Please help!
Edit: I saw the post above with pictures. Very simple thing to do. I wouldn't even call it a mod lol
