Default "Range approx" number

Hello everyone. So I used to fill up my car and get a number between 310-315and now when I fill up I've been getting between 290-295. Any reason why this could be? Thanks

Lead foot. I get 360+ everytime. I've hit 400 before too. I was told the number adjust according to the way you drive the car.

Actually, I'm not sure how many miles a 350 should get but if you're numbers change like that then its your driving habits most likely. Mine goes from around 360-380 usually and sometimes 400 on a full tank.

Yeah I recently got a 250 as a loaner with a full tank of gas and the number was almost 400. I'm just interested to see what other people who drive 350's get and why that number for me has recently gone down. I'm a laid back driver and wouldn't consider myself having a "lead foot". Thanks for the feedback guys.

I have an IS250 RWD and mine is "426". I've never seen it go beyond that number.

At the end, i end up with around 415-420 actual driven miles when the range turns "0"

I find lots of things hurt gas mileage:

1. Aggressive driving style
2. Lots of short trips
3. Colder ambient temperatures
4. Winter gas blend
5. Lots of city driving
6. A/C use (about 1 MPG)

I'm currently getting about 23 MPG in mixed suburban driving during the summer with A/C on. On long trips, I do much better, e.g., 26-27.

Good points Bichon. I'm here in San Antonio, Texas so I have started to use the AC more often. I didn't know the number adjusts to those driving factors though everytime you fill up.

Driving Range

• Displays a value that has been calculated by the combination meter. When IG-ON has been selected, the combination meter calculates the range based on continuously monitoring and storing information on fuel consumption data, and the residual fuel volume.
• This display is updated every ten seconds.

i get 290miles to go in my Is250. It all depends on your MPG. MPG times how many gal of fuel you filled it with = App. Range
