I'm in the process of doing a real carbon skinning at the moment.... it's definitely not as easy as doing the overlay so I can see why they charge so much. Unfortunately I have a bunch of work travel which will further delay me from finishing this.....all I have to say is that it is 10x more aggravating than I thought it would be but I am close to finishing one part and it looks awesome.

Default Real carbon fiber trim

Think about getting some "real" cf on the inside....thought about 3m stuff but heard mixed reviews. Would prefer to have the real deal, not a stick on either, Anyone have a good contact for a shop in southern CA? Or other options that dont cost a fortune?

Thanks in advance

I used to have CF wrap...

... But now I have real silver CF from the ISF.

The real stuff is much nicer... (but also more expensive)

Real Carbon Fiber Interior Options-3m-vs.-real-carbon.jpg

Check with FX Auto Designs, they are a vendor here.......I just purchased a complete set for $550 with core exchange. Long wait tho, I waited 7 weeks but if you are lucky Chris from FX Auto Designs might have a set in stock if he sent my old to have it wrap in real carbon fiber. Is worth the wait, what a difference in quality. Matches well with my Black carbon fiber sport bottom steering wheel and f-sport shift ****.

FX Auto Designs are located in North Hollywood, CA so maybe close to you. I'm from Nor. Cal and I have Chris shipped to me and I ship my old interior trim back to him.

I have the 3M Di-Noc before that and it look cheap after awhile. . . . .gotta pay to play, keep that in mind.

I'm making my own interior with real carbon fiber... It's much harder than I thought. $550 is well worth it given how much time I've spent learning the right process

Awesome even the wrap looks good. Im thinking of applying the wrap to my interior, is it hard to do? The roof also. Is this the right kind? My friend ordered this kind and I was wondering if this is the right one for interior or if i can use it for my roof mirrors etc and interior? Thanks for your help, here is the link: 3D Carbon Fiber Vinyl Film Wrap 60"x72" Sheet http://www.ebay.com/itm/160612195326...witem=&vxp=mtr

I don't know about ebay (knockoff) but I purchased it from carbonfibergear.com (real 3M vinyl). Make sure you buy the 3M 94 primer if you are planning to wrap your interior with 3M stuff.

The roof was hard, took me and 3 other friends. 3hrs total, the antenna was the hardest, 4 tries to get it the way I wanted but still not perfect. The 3M di-noc vinyl look cheap after awhile, planning to have the roof painted like carbon fiber in a few months. Just have to find a shop to do it for less than $1,000.

I will post a pic of the from grill after work.

Just merged 3 threads into 1, all talking about the same thing.

I installed the FX Auto CF interior trim in my car quite a while ago, still looks great! You can go back and read through this whole thread for more info.

Got a hold of FX, sounds good, but they only have the heated seat option. Meaning that I would have to gap where the temp control would go since I dont have that option. Any ideas anyone???
