Default About to order HIDs and LED DRL, need clarification..

I have a 2006 250 and it simply has the halogen bulbs. I already know what company I am ordering from, I simply want to make sure that I have the correct bulb types.

Also, is there anything special I need to know to install these for this specific car beyond general HID installation?

Low Beam Projector:
H11 35watt Kit

DRL/high Beam:
9005 - http://store.ijdmtoy.com/9005-LED-Da...d_sku45_r4.htm

Foglight:
9006 35watt kit

I was also wondering, what color would you think best? I want a white light with a hint of blue for that "Ice Blue" look. I'm thinking 8k?

parking light/ city lights (at least thats what ive heard them referred as) on sylvania's website are bulb size is 168 but according to some DIYs and other threads i have read people say that the bulb size is 194. Could somebody please clarify? your high beams/DRL are 9005. also 8k bulbs would be white with blue tint. ive got 10k and they pretty blue but still have some white in them.

I would avoid ordering from iJDMTOY. I ordered a set of 8Ks for my low beams and fogs. They ended up sending my 3 10K bulbs and a 5K bulb. Go with Xenondepot instead.

And yes everything will work. You will lose your high beam function with those DRLs btw, not sure if thats an issue with you.

And "icy blue" is subjective. To me thats 6K but to others its 8K. I personally like 6K because you get more usable light than 8K and its still white with a hint of blue

get 6K morimoto for best quality aftermarket HID (second next to phillips) if you want bluish white
get 5k if you want white
8k is too blue imo (attract po's depending where you're from) as well visibility is crap

i agree with reyoasian but only if youre going to get HID projectors. If you are keeping stock 2006 non hid projectors than 8k will be plenty visable. I can try to get you a pic tonight or tomorow morning but im running 10k bulbs in mine and theyre not crazy blue or anything but ive got them in non hid projectors and i still get complaints about how my lights are to bright lol. People thing i have my brights on all the time.

Not true. Before upgrading to the 2012 LED headlights (my car with halogens) Ive had 3 different brands of 8K (no name brand, iJDMTOY, and Xenondepot) and they all have less visibility compared to 6K. The higher the "K" the less usable light

Yes i know the higher the Kelvin the less visible and i didnt say that 6k wouldnt be more visible i just said that 8k is still really visible. but maybe that just depends on the brand or something. Like i said earlier, people think im using my brights and ive got 10k bulbs in mine. Im actually surprised i havent gottin pulled over lol.

So the lights that come on automatically with the car are 194, not 9005?

So are the stock 2006 Head lights non-projector HIDs? I was under the impression that a project housing was a projector housing and it simply depended on the type of bulb setup.

I tried both colors from iJDMToy, ended up running with the white haha and loving it so far. Anything is better than that ugly stock yellow.

How about these for the DRL?

http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/9005-LED

I've never had issues with DDM.

Also, do I need to install a resistor? If so, what kind?
