Wrong with the price, get in touch with Mat, type in search for flyaudio or go to the vendor section an look for audio max
Thanks for the answers guys but the flyaudio is around $2k. I can get all the stock parts for less than a grand.
Or am I wrong on the flyaudio price?
As for aftermarket, I don't mind the aftermarket look but those things are usually built in somewhere at the bottom and it's not convenient to use...

Everyone, thank you so much for your responses!
TripleL, that's a great idea thank you! I was actually thinking about getting a rearview + GPS mirror but then excluded that option for the lack of good navigation software on those mirrors and the fact that the mirror would get fingerprints all of it after using the navi. I use the GPS very rarely so I can just keep my garmin in the glovesbox.
Everyone who voted for flyaudio, I am definitely going to look into that. If I can get it for a reasonable price, I might go that way. It's nice to have that stock navi look and maybe it will be easier to sell it (not planning though, want to drive it for many years to come).
Thanks again everyone! I'm going to do more research and "looking around" and let you know what option I went with. I am very happy I posted my questions / concerns / thoughts here...

One question to everyone who did a retrofit. Do you know what are all the parts you needed? And did you do it yourself? Please provide as much info as you can, that would be greatly appreciated!

Is that with mic, backup camera, steering wheel controls and gps antenna? I am looking to install the full navigation.
Also, do you know what is all that needs to be bought for the full navigation? I mean parts. And if you can point me in the right direction as to where is the best place to get all the parts? I was thinking to take it off of the totalled is that I have access to...

It takes us 3-4 hours to do a complete install with backup camera (and my technician is used to pulling apart the interior). That includes pulling the back seat, removing the trunk lid, drilling a hole for the backup camera, and running everything. It will probably take about the same to do a factory navigation (even with a color coded harness). My point being, it will probably take you close to the same amount of time either way. I bet the cost could be comparable as well (maybe with used factory parts). However, there is no warranty there.
It sounds like you have some good options, it just depends on what is a priority in terms of features.

I like FlyAudio quite a bit, I am just not sure how easy it will be to sell with FlyAudio instead of factory nav. I have to say that FlyAudio is quite tempting to get

Anyways, it's your car now and you should put whatever YOU want in it, worry about selling it when the time comes!
