I'm dying to try this, only issue is currently with all my portable music players none of them support Bluetooth Audio Even the iPods don't (and I don't want an iPad or iPhone right now).

The system would need an A2DP bluetooth profile, which I'm pretty sure the pre-2010 cars don't have.

Reason 367 I skipped the OEM nav when I special ordered.

Same reason the 07 G35 could get realtime traffic and the 09 IS couldn't... Lexus didn't enter this century on nav/entertainment until very recently.

I can do this in my new 2010 IS250 and my iPhone. The sound quality is outstanding. The only downside is it doesn't stream the song/artist/album data to the nav screen and you can't control the songs on the nav screen or on the steering wheel. If I want to skip to the next song, I have to do it with the iPhone. Other than that, it's brilliant.

I would say it depends on Phone Models...

My first generation iPhone will refuse to pair with BT Audio. I am not sure if I need NAV package for this, but I doubt it. BT Audio is listed as a feature for my standard stereo.

But strangely, it will pair fine with handsfree system so that I can use my iPhone for calls with the audio system.
