Default Difference between 18's and 19's...

in terms of ride quality. I tried a search on this and didn't come up with much so I was just wondering if people had experience on both 18s and 19s. I'm looking at wheels right now and can't decide on functionality vs. looks. I know 19's look way better on our rides but in NJ, road quality is **** poor. How big of a difference is it between the 18s and 19s? Any help would be much appreciated. Preferably from somebody who's had experience with both.

Also thinking about getting coils with whatever i get.

Thanks

IMO, there is not a big difference in ride quality as far as bumps (depends on suspension and tires). But if you're getting wider wheels, it will handle better. Of course that also depends on the tires you put on them. Softer compound = better grip = faster wear. You will love 19s, just buy a set that aren't cheap. You get what you pay for. I ran over big/deep pot holes on my 19s and they are still perfect (made by Rays).

Came from factory staggered 18" to to F-Sport 19". To me, I feel the ride quality is reduced due to low profile tire on 19', you will feel more road bumps compare to 18' and thus ride is more bumpy and rigid, however, it is the trade off which I do feel the road manner much better

I went from factory 18"s to FiveAxis 19"s ...

The difference is pretty small, and you won't notice it too much. I say got for it!

I went from factory 18's, to 19" volks, then back to 18" works. Kept the same suspension, and ride quality stayed the same.

I think anytime you run low pros, you are sacrificing some extend amount of comfort but it isn't that bad IMO.
