Sticker on back of Rearview Mirror?
Okay so I was cleaning my windshield the other day and noticed the sticker pictured below starting to peel off of the back of my rearview mirror. This is the first time I've seen it in the three years I've owned the car (never noticed it when I was back there installing my Valentine or while cleaning my window for the thousandth time). I went ahead and peeled it off to investigate further. All it says on it is "2008 © Alien 964X" I bought my car in '07 so I have a hard time believing this came with the car. It appears to be some sort of RFID but I know for a fact I did not put it there. Anyone have any ideas?

It's so big brother can see where you are going I bet. It's like that thing from Enemy of the State except square instead of round. I think you should do what they did and flush it down the toilet and go underground! Let us know how it works out.

It was probably for inventory tracking purposes as the car was built and shipped. Alien is a supplier of RFID products. http://www.alientechnology.com/

Valet your car often? May be a high tech method of tracking cars which have been valet parked? Or even a way for the dealership to track your vehicle which is in for service. Just hunches. I'd be interested to know what you find out!
