Wald molded vs REP Wald molded
Hey guys,
I think my next mod will be the wald spoiler as this is probably the best looking one to me. Just wanted to hear some opinions from people who have, seen or in the process of looking for one also. The money isn't really a big issue, but if i can get away with a nicely clean molded job out of a REP Wald then why not save a few bucks. but if the REP molded still looks abit off, then i rather spend the money on the real deal. I think right now the real one goes from 550-700 from reading a few posts. the REP i believe is like 250ish...slap on the molded job + paint , i'd say maybe another 2-400 more.
SO...
Real deal - 550-700 + 200-400= so lets say $1000 take or give...
REP - 250 + 200-400 = 600 take or give...
difference of probably 300-500
do you think this difference is worth the buy fo the REP?
thanks

thats what i was afraid of, if there was a gap on the sides then they can fill but if it doesn't sit flush on the trunk then thats no good. ok real deal it is...i guess ill just have to wait the 4 weeks then.....
i was thinking of this also, not sure if this has been done. if not, maybe someone who reads this will attempt it. i was thinking of getting the carbon wald spoiler. and paint the sides and back but only leaving the top of it still in carbon. not sure if you guys know what i mean. i think that might look good.

ive heard some good stuff about the nextmods.. very few negative feedback about it..and most of the negative feedbacks are from mistuhboi (whom just had a bad experience with his copy) and replica haters.
so this is what i think; the replicas are pretty much a hit or miss thing and not fully guaranteed perfect copy. but the chances from what ive read seem to be high, for a good/decent fitment. when i mean decent, i mean minor gaps. and honestly, since you say youre molding it anyways, a replica would just cover any of the imperfect gaps.
but another thing to consider is, if you dont want to take chances, then get real one. also, if you are **** like some true jdm junkies, then get the real one. lastly, if you have the money to blow like some jdm ballers on here, then get the real one.
thats just my 2 cents.

personally ive seen a rep molded to a trunk and compared it to mine..i felt kinda ripped off after that...personally id say go with the rep and save the wait time and couple hundred where it can be spent elsewhere..then again you can get the real one and brag about how much you spent and that its authentic.. <-- im being sarcastic.. regardless YOU MUST MOLD IT(real or rep) and make sure that they do the job right! ive seen a pic in another thread where they didnt mold the top portion into the trunk, but the sides and the bottom..(wtf) im sure we all have pix for u
