Default Grinded my rim

I let m wife drive my car today so i could take hers in for service. Well somehow she managed to grind up my front passenger rim. does anyone have a ball park figure on how much it cost to replace the outer barrel on three piece wheels .

if you can repair it.. its probably cheaper that way than gettin whole barrel replaced...

replacing it would be ridiculous in price. especially since they're 3 piece wheels. the shop will need to reseal the barrell...which would require taking the entire wheel apart. it gets costly

What type of lip is it? Polished aluminum, or chrome? If its chrome, you'll have to replace it and an outer lip usually cost about $200-$250. (contact the wheel manufacture, explain what happened and they can easily put on a new outer lip).

If its polished aluminum, you can buff it out yourself.

what kind of wheels do you have? contact Andy at MC3, he can replace the lip and have it back to you within 24-48 hours if you are in south florida

$100? Think again. To just dismount the tire is going to be atleast $20, new lip is about $250-300. Its already about $150ish to rechrome it and they usually send it to california because the chrome shops in south florida are horrible and overpriced. Also, labor isnt cheap.

If it isnt that bad, it might not be worth repairing it. Never let women with no experience drive your car lol

agreed with others have said. if its chrome, you pretty much would have no choice but to get a new lip unless you wanted to get it repaired and redipped. if its poslished, it much easier. i had some wheels repaired that i bought. they had a polished lip and it was approx $75 a wheel to get repaired.
