Default Bbs ch-r or f sport?

Hello guys
I have narrowed my choice towards these two wheels The BBS CH-R or the F-Sport wheels. I have an lexus is350 black so what color wheels would look good on my car? I was thinking about getting the black BBS-CHR and puting red lining around the rims. Out of the two wheels, what would look better on the car? Please give me insights before I purchase the wheels. I will pay you guys back with pictures =)

i love the look of the BBS but dislike the weight...

19x8.5's, Offsets are +32mm front, +25 mm rear. Weights are as follows:

Silver front: 24.8 lbs, Black 25.4 lbs
Silver rear: 26.8 lbs, Black rear 27.4 lb

It cost nearly 700 dollar just for 1 wheel... this is way too expensive....for this kind of weight..

i don't see why weight is an issue..it's not like you're tracking your car or anything so you don't really need the weight reduction or am i missing something? i say go strictly for looks and quality and the bbs is hands down the better rim

+1 for BBS, it might be the easiest decision you make for your IS.

well i am aiming for "looks" whiling retaining or improving performance, not decreasing...

This is the problem with the internet: a lot of baseless opinions, and like one or two that are based on facts. Good call someboy, you seem to know what you're talking about.

The BBS wheels are cast, where as the F Sport are forged. That makes a huge difference in the strength of the wheel. You'd be less likely to damage the F Sport rims if you hit a pothole or something. Also, since the forged alloy is much stronger, the wheels can be made with less material.

You should really ask yourself "why" you're changing from stock wheels to aftermarket ones. What good is it to get different looking rims if they make your car have more unsprung mass, and reduce performance?

I don't understand why people on these forums tend to be all for adding parts or modifying cars in ways that just make them worse instead of better. Especially when it comes to rims. People will put huge, cheap rims on a nice car and just ruin handling. Might as well have gotten a POS car instead and put huge heavy rims on it so it'll "look nice", instead of getting a nice car to begin with!

My advice is to get the F Sport rims between those two choices. The rims aren't nearly as important as the tires you choose though. You'll see a big difference in performance with better tires, and a potential decrease in performance by going to bigger heavier wheels.

Spending $1100 dollars on great tires makes more sense to me than spending a few thousand on wheels and then slapping mediocre tires on them.

^not everything is about performance pigeon. as long as the car can get me from a to b safely, i could care less about how fast it is. most of us mod our cars to make them look better, not so we can handle better or drive faster.
