That look super nice. But how do you get to your spare tire?? Is everything quickly removable in emergencies??
Do you have the ML system?? If you do, how does it sound with movies??
thanks guys for the compliments
to answer this real quick.
the sub enclosuyre doesnt come anywhere near the second part of the floor where it folds up to reveal the spare tire. if you go to the trunk, measure about 7.5" or so from the very front, thats where the current subbox comes out to
+1 for Bing, the guy has some mad skills and excellent installer. I drove my car from San Diego to San Jose just to have him installed the full sound system.
To the OP, clean installation and great choice of selecting the ID for sub. Believe me, your system would sound much much better had you replaced the OEM headunit for an aftermarket one.
we have to custom wire headunit's either in the glove box, or where the oem cd changer is, and then mount the oem changer in the blove box. only clean after market is the fly audio unit, which in turn is another 2k.
damn.. it looks clean!!! Good jOB
how long did the install take??
Thanks! I dropped by car off Sunday night, picked it up Saturday morning, so 5 full days.

Haha, I think I've used the sunshade maybe once. You're not missing out on too much.

Ya, when I show people my trunk with the stealth cover on they have no idea it's there, which is the idea. Yeah, that armrest thing was a total surprise from my installer, but I love it.

Ah, you're the one! Which car is yours?
Yeah, Bing definitely tried to point me in the direction of a full install. I was already pretty happy with the OEM Mark Levinson system quality-wise, and figured as long as I wasn't throwing in a 13w7 or something, my subwoofer setup wouldn't overwhelm my stock speakers. I also wanted to keep that stock feel with the OEM headunit, despite the pesky 35 HZ subsonic filter. Also didn't like the idea of kick panels or molded tweeters when I already have a tweeter pod stock. I'm sure after hearing a few more of Bing's cars with a full install I'll change my mind though.

Bing already answered this, but yeah, it's no problem at all. The only "compromise" I had to make with this setup was losing the pass-through, which I rarely use anyway. I'll be damned if I put dirty skis or a snowboard in my car.
Yes, I have ML, but haven't had a chance to listen to a movie yet. Transformers is in my DVD changer so maybe I'll try it today.

Thanks. I'm very happy with the results. My friend, who's obsessed with "slap" (she's from Hayward for you NorCal folks) approves, so that means it hits plenty hard.

This makes me feel better. I wouldn't want to go through all that. Although I think Bing was talking about an audio processor that might be less intrusive/cumbersome.
