The new all weather floormats are much thinner than the old ones, and that's my only gripe. No harm done.

what liability?

The only way not doing the recall can cause a problem is if someone puts the wrong parts in the car, incorrectly installed. The liability would be on the idiot who did that.

With the correct parts, correctly installed, there's 0.00% chance of this "problem" happening. Lexus has that, in writing, in the recall notice itself.

This isn't like the Camry "sticky pedal" recall where there's actually something wrong with the OEM part. That recall I'd be first in line to do.

This is a recall done to placate idiots who don't understand how a floor mat works.

some good stuff over these 18 pages...unfortunately it hasn't persuaded me one direction. that new pedal is ugly even if the actual assembly itself is minimally different, the position just looks awkward even though several folks say it feels no different or even better.

has anyone who uses the old AWFM taken them out prior to heading over to the dealership so that way they can't be replaced and then when you get home, just put them back in? it seems like that's a good route for many people who want to appease lexus and get the new pedal and override system, but don't want to give up the better AWFM.

No, no reason for it to be black.

The new sport gas pedal matches the sport brake pedal from styling standpoint.

Not good at all. Wouldn't have done had I know the end result. Foot slips off cause the pedals not as long. Actually almost caused me a wreck this weekend, went to pull out acroos a two lane, foot slipped off (resulted in hesitation) and had car been closer it would have been lights out

Not sure really what the big deal is. I just got mine back today and it feels just like the old one. Foot does not slip off at all. I noticed that the gas pedal is a little higher than previous -Ian

i know you guys said that they fill up your tank with gas.

has anybody asked the dealer/service what kind of gas they use?

in particular: grade, maybe brand? premium, super, etc?

i have used shell v-power since day 1 and i am wondering if i should bring it to them .
