I do and I am uber pissed. lol. I just bought my IS a week ago and I already have them - rock chips on the hood, bumper, side mirrors, and a scratch on my right fender. Arrgh!!!

Should I just cut my despair or get it fixed and have the clear film applied afterwards?

well after 1 week it can't be too bad, so dab some touch up paint on the chips and then get a clear bra ASAP.

That's life, at least you didn't get 2 rock chips on your windshield within 2months and the chip is bad enough that you need to replace your windshield. Rock chips are always going to be there sooner or later.

^ I agree, if the damage is minor, some touch-up paint should do the trick. The paint on the IS tends to "chip" easily.

I have a few minor ones on the hood and fenders, probably from driving on the I-5 between NorCal and SoCal multiple times. I guess if you drive a lot, these things are bound to happen. Good luck.

I had a rock chip on the front of the hood the on the 07 I had... pissed me off everytime I washed it... but u jus has to accept it... sounds like u should stop drivin behind and beside all the big trucks though dude... I don't have that many on the 09 I have *knock on wood* but I still have them

I have about 8 chips on the hood and i have a BSM paint and it shows all the chips. I had a chip in the windshield that progressed into a crack from side to side

I would get a clear bra from aerotect!

lol oh don't get me started hahaha My black IS shows EVERYTHING, all the chips, all the scratches and I take FOUR freeways to get to/from work, so....my car takes a LOT of damage ....As a matter of fact, I think if I look at it too long now, the paint chips on its own haha

Next car will def be getting some clear bra

I've only had my IS for about a month and have several rock chips already. It's a daily and I drive 35-40 minutes to work and back Monday-Friday.

I Have tons...I pretty much need to have my whole front repainted..Pretty much every time i make a trip to my house in Lake Havasu from L.A. i get 1 or 2..I go like twice a month.. I HATE BRA's for the cars, hate them.
Taping up the front takes way to long to do every time. I just deal for the mean time, it is what it is. I have touch up paint in the car & just dab a little when i get there. I just don't like adding anything like film or anything like that cuz over time it peels up or gets ugly..Need a throw away type thing that u use once for the long trips..Again taping looks crappy & takes to long..I have an idea..After my vacation gonna look into it..

PS when i get my F..Getting it in white.....Black is awesome but to hard to keep clean & nice..

Wow, bad luck? Or do i have good luck? I've had my IS for 13 months and have 2-3 chips on the front (1 on the hood, 1-2 on front lip). Thats all I've gotten, and I've put on 15,xxx miles too. Sorry to hear, none the less, but maybe the clear bra is a good investment!
